Lovely place and very friendly service. Was here for a wedding and they really took care of their guests. Service on the beach can sometimes be slow but overall it was good. Would be great if there were more entertainment options outside of the lobby bar. Also some of the bartenders don't know how to make some drinks or they don't follow some directions (like requests for no ice). Some of the food can be extremely salty! That being said, the coffee shop has really great cold brew and sweets and the Thai restaurant is probably the best option out of all the restaurants! Love the bar included inside of the rooms and also love the access to room service available after hours. If you need food at 4AM, they got it! Overall, great option for couples looking to just relax and stay in one place without desire on venturing out... however if you're looking for more entertainment outside of just eating, being by the pool or hanging on the beach, you may want to visit some of the other resorts on the strip.

This resort is a smaller all inclusive adults only. I really enjoyed This resort. I personally like smaller ones. There were 2 pools I believe and they weren’t crowded or anything! We went in the begging of April and it was perfect! Right on the beach with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The beaches were completely clear, most of the time we were by ourselves on the beach and the water was beautiful. I believe they have three or four restaurants. Everything was very delicious room service was amazing and customer service was perfect. I highly recommend this place!

This is our 3rd time here and love it! From the moment you walk in their customer service is A+. From their waiters to their housekeeping, everyone is trained well trained . I want to make a couple shout outs. First to Miguel at the front desk for helping us with our room ( he knows) it made our stay! And to Ricardo and the Sweet and Coffee team for always having a smile and remembering our order every morning! I would highly recommend the Sun Palace.

We had an excellent stay at the Sun Palace. The food was perfect as well as the drinks! Our favourite bartender Gamaiel was the best bartender at the pool bar, he always kept the drinks coming and was extremely energetic, making our pool experience 10x times better every time he was working! The lobby staff was excellent at answering all our questions. All of the four restaurants had great food and great service! We will definitely be returning!

Tiny Tiny Crowded Pool(s). They have three small and very crowded pools that do not get sun after 3:00 pm. Half of the chairs never get sun at all. So unless you get up at 7:00 am and are the first 20 - 30 guests forget about laying out. Zero value. Everything is an upgrade or extra cost. We spent $700 a night and this is far from luxury or exclusive. Food and bar service is good, but everyone else spend the entire time trying to get you to tour and book their other properties. Not close to shopping. $20 cab ride - one way. It was so bad I thought they were trying to sell me a time share. I go on vacation to relax and lay out by the pool and eat good food. This is not that resort and would not risk staying at any of their other properties either.

Always a fantastic experience at this hotel. 3rd time returning and the staff as always is superb, Thai is amazing, plus the coffee bar is incredible. I always look forward to coming here. I loved almost everything about our stay. We only stay at Palace Resorts if they are offered in the city we are traveling to. Because we love it so much, we chose to buy a certificate (offered in the lobby at checkout) to return for 5 days to any Palace resort for a decent price, so we purchased 2 certificates. BIGGEST MISTAKE AND SCAM EVER!! We always book concierge level and we’re told we would be able to upgrade. Wrong! We call and the dates we select are unavailable but available on their site. BS! They are no better than the vultures that come after you at the airport for timeshares and excursions. Keep walking!

Our experience with Sun Palace over all was good but we had some challenges that I haven’t had anywhere else. Transport has been a nightmare. We tried to book through hotel with no responses. We ended up finding transport when we arrived in Cancun. We were pulled aside asking to remove this review and that they would take care of the transportation costs for issues on front end. Great, except it is now happening on departure day as well. Can’t get through to transport, the managers and front desk aren’t very helpful. Again, rushing to find transport hours before we need to leave for airport. Instead of enjoying our last day here we are running around trying to get through to transport. The service from staff such as waiters, cleaning staff, bell staff, etc has been amazing. The views, cleanliness and shows have all been good! Defiantly great there BUT the food is below average. Much below. My husband and I booked here to not only get away, honeymoon, relax but to eat food that we enjoyed and not have to worry about going to restaurants or prepping anything. The food at 2 of the 3 restaurants was horrible. For the price of this resort we shouldn’t be worrying about transport or not being able to eat a good meal while we have been there. Not to mention the wake you up your first day by calling the room early to sell you into the club. They chased us around to sell us and when we complained about food they harassed me at every meal by sending people to our table. Last night they came to the table 6 times in one hour. The guy actually stood over me rude asking why I didn’t eat my food and wanted an explanation. In my husbands words it’s the worst he has ever had. Needless to say we wouldn’t come back, defiantly would never buy into this and would pick somewhere new next time to travel. Again, service, staff, cleaning all great. Food, the fact that they are trying to sell you and the transport is where it was lacking for us. Even today knowing the issues instead of apologizing, making it right they argued us in the lobby. To the point that we were yelling and frustrated. The concierge desk lied to us more than once this morning about transport. Just not a great way to end our honeymoon. I would pick a different resort. There are many in Cancun.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. First and foremost, the staff was INCREDIBLE. Everyone we encountered was so polite and friendly. They are super attentive and respectful and just all around wonderful people who truly seem to care about their jobs. We found the food selection to be wide and delicious. As with anything, it gets old after a while, but the Buffett has plenty of options and fresh stations to keep things different. The beach was spotless. We took a walk and the other resorts in the area clearly didn’t put the same effort into maintaining their beachfront as Sun Palace did. They threw a big celebration in honor of their Independence Day and the drinks wouldn’t stop coming! Shots included. I also celebrated my birthday here and they brought a bottle of champagne and dessert. The pools (there are three) were all clean and we were able to find a lounger almost everyday. They seem to do their best to combat people waking up early to drop their stuff and going back to bed. The Bar has nightly shows and they are so much fun (trivia, burlesque, etc). So much fun. I could go on and on but I highly suggest finding out how great this place is for yourself!

We stayed there for our anniversary and it was truly a romantic spot. The resort was clean, the food was great, the staff was friendly and helpful. We also treated ourselves to a spa day and my life changed that day! It was a great pampering experience and a fun thing to do as a couple. The lobby smells FANTASTIC!!! I want to know what that smell is so I can buy a candle! Does anybody know what the scent in lobby is??

The Sun Palace is a fantastic place for a honeymoon. This adults only, all-inclusive resort provided us with many perks for our honeymoon package. We were particularly impressed with their Covid cleanliness standards. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the drinks were great. We stayed the week before the full moon in July and sea turtles came ashore every night to lay their eggs. It was magical to watch from our balcony. The beds were comfortable, the showers were big, and we loved having our own jacuzzi in our room. Our honeymoon was romantic, peaceful, and sprinkled with a little bit of adventure with the help of their staff booking us some awesome tours. We loved it!

We only visited for the day but it was a delight! The beach was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of great seating (loved the loungers in particular) and when we needed another umbrella a staff member helped us quickly. Every staff member we talked to was wonderful. They were helpful, positive, and kind. They even helped me with my Spanish! The drinks were good, food was great, and the pool games were really entertaining. Met some fun people too! Would definitely go back if I have the chance.

Even better than before, the perfect low key, high luxury vacation. The rehab is dramatic and effective, the addition of the sweet and cookie bar and the total transformation of Fuego ( steak house) really made it over the top. The totality of the staff and services were absolute 5 star. Ask for Mario at breakfast for an additional treat

We traveled to Sun Palace to celebrate a birthday. We absolutely loved it! The resort is very clean and modern. The front desk representatives made check in easy and answered all our questions about the tours without pressuring us to buy extras. The food was the best part. Everything tasted fresh and they had unique options. The service from all the workers was outstanding- to mention a few, Miguel, Orlando, Felipe, Karina, Jesus and many more made a great impression on us. The service is genuine and everyone is happy to help. They also decorated our room for my sister's birthday as a surprise (we were both very happy with this detail) We will definitely return and recommend this resort.

Sun Palace is so fun! It is an adult only all inclusive resort. They have great room service, a delicious taco stand, fantastic Thai food Restaurant, a Steakhouse, an Italian restaurant and an awesome coffee and baked good stand. So delicious and so fun. The location is great and I would love to go back.

Trust me, love the resort, been there twice and was going a third time until COVID came. My scheduled trip for May of 2020 was cancelled and I can’t get a refund only voucher for future stay. It is time for a refund and I will book again when some day when it is safe to travel. Since the initial post, I have received my refund. I wish to thank Management for fulfilling my request. I look forward to returning in the future when it is safe to travel again.

Excellent Resort. Best staff in the world, all so friendly, happy, and committed to their work! We have been to Cancun 8 times, 6 different resorts and this was our favorite. Our room was always so clean with fantastic housekeeping - always so happy. The entire resort is up to date and extremely clean. Every single staff we encountered were so nice, always giving 100% to our happiness. Would like to single out a few.. The front desk staff were so nice and ready for anything we needed. Silvio pool side staff was always tracking us down to make sure we had everything we needed. He was so thorough and incredibly hard working. Brandon at the coffee shop went above and beyond for us making my own custom coffee drink and even running to the restaurant for extra supplies for us frequently. Jorge was a fantastic waiter each morning at breakfast and was always so polite, friendly, and by the second day remembered our preferences. Ingracio and Carlos were extremely friendly and committed to our pool side service. Gabriella gave the best massage I've ever had. The entertainment staff were so much fun. The most entertainment we've had at a resort and they really went overboard to make sure we had a great time each day at the pool. The Thai restaurant was the best, our waiter was excellent and the young woman who managed the restaurant frequently stopped to make sure we were satisfied. The Italian restaurant was great, the service was fantastic, and the piano player was awesome. Even the towel staff were so nice and happy each day as we got our beach towels. Breakfast was great, the woman making omelets and other staff were all so nice. The steak house, pool side lunch, and ala cart lunch spot were not good - but the staff at all were incredible.. Eventually found out that the coffee shop had sandwiches that Brandon made us for lunch which were perfect to take to the pool area each day. Cancun is the best! Will be back next year, and the years' following.

WHY I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER PALACE RESORT...my husband and I came to sun palace in 2018: had a wonderful stay and felt like the price was justified for the amenities, food, drinks, etc. We visited again in Jan 2021 for our honeymoon. (yes, we loved it so much we came back). They use a 3rd party for reservations so when there is a discrepancy, the hotel is unable to make it right. We were denied resort credits, but were promised them upon booking 8 months prior. Strangely the hotel is unable to offer resort credits or make changes to your reservation. I attempted to contact the reservation company, but they only use email. I was told Sun palace concierge would contact them via email in order to receive resort credits. I asked to be CC'd to the emails. Never happened. We paid significantly more for this trip than in 2018 yet received SO MUCH LESS. If you enjoy spending more money for less, then sun palace is for you. Staff is nice, but company is corrupt. Stay elsewhere.

Had a great experience and very lucky with weather. Traveled with girlfriends and we were pleased with every employee that we encountered. Philipe, Stephanie and the fellow teaching aerobics in pool (plus Joanne, I think) were just very memorable. Fun times were had by all. Most of eating experiences were great. Menus could be improved. Staff was great!

My wife and I are here on our honeymoon and could not be any more pleased. Hurricane Delta came through and the staff got us where we needed to be. After staying in the shelter they set up at Moon Palace for a few days they gave us 3 free days for the inconvenience Mother Nature had on us. They handled the whole situation very professionally. We had food, water, and power in the shelter. The resort itself is incredible! We never have to lift a finger. The best part is the attention to detail they show. My wife has celiac disease and they go above and beyond to make sure there is zero cross contamination. Even though this go around was a not the best due to the hurricane we are planning on returning! Most likely not during hurricane season.

This was my first time in Mexico so I have nothing to compare it to. From start to finish our short, four days at the Sun Palace were amazing. I can't rave enough about how friendly the staff was the entire time. They would bend over backwards for the guests at any waking second. As soon as we arrived at the hotel and checked in, I was delighted with a flower ("for the lady" they would say) and we were handed Palomas in champagne flutes for a refreshment. The lobby smelled wonderful; like a tropical spa, I still get whiffs here and there and remember that relaxing feeling of vacation. We had an awesome room, apparently they "upgraded" us, but who knows. We were on the same floor as the gym, basically two steps away. That made me super happy because I got up at 6 every morning to workout. Our room had a bottle of wine and two glasses and a huge balcony, so that may have been the upgrade. We also had a Jacuzzi in the middle of the room which was different. Everything was spotless and spacious. The mini bar was stocked with all sorts of included beverages. Our first night we walked around the premises and ate at the Italian restaurant. Getting my sweat on at the gym each morning, I have to say, was my favorite part! I'd get there before sunrise and watch the sun come up whilst running on the treadmill. In the gym they had freshly brewed coffee, exotic fruits, nuts, clean white towels, cold water bottles, and alkaline water available for the "go-getters" every morning. Tip: the gym bathrooms were very nice too, and private if you want to get away from your partner every once in a while ;) The cardio machines and gym equipment were stellar and up-to-date although some were programmed in Spanish. I am quite familiar with the Life Fitness brand from my gym in Reno. I was blown away by the amazing views, blue water, and white sand. Apparently we were VIP so we got to sit on the oh-so cushioned lounge chairs on the right hand side of the beach. After strolling up and down the shoreline, we could tell that the Sun Palace had the cleanest waters and beaches any of the resorts by far! The weather in January was bit off, I got sun burned the first day then after that it was fairly cloudy and quite windy. Then from my sun burned skin I was cold the rest of the weekend, but that didn't stop me from swimming in the ocean for hours every day. The water was crystal clear and I got to see a lot of fish, good thing I brought my goggles. I could and did swim for hours in that water without fear or too crazy of waves. Like I said, Sun Palace is known to have the best beaches and less rickety waters than the other resorts. Now to write about the food a little bit. There's so much to say I don't want to make this a novel; however, there were endless possibilities of food. Breakfast every morning we would have espresso's in tiny cups, green juice, fresh fruit & grain bowls, and made to order eggs at the buffet. After a few hours on the beach we'd head up to the buffet again for a nice salad and various forms of protein to choose from. All the items were fresh and mouth watering. We also ate at the pool-side restaurant one day (sweet potato tots, guacamole, shrimp ceviche, and fish tacos). We frequented the steakhouse a couple nights for dinner because it was outside on the roof, during a full moon, and there was a pretty blue lit pool with comfy seating. It was sad when our time in Cancun came to an end but hopefully I'll be back someday. If you are single, dating, married, or in a relationship with no children, this is the place for you. An all-inclusive, singles only resort, yes please

Everything was amazing! All the staff there were super nice and they work so hard! The food, the service, the room, the beach and the lifeguard. I love the romantic dinner on the beach with all those newly hatched baby sea turtles crawling around my feet. It was such a pleasant surprise! We just carried them to the water so they can start their journey in the ocean. I love the breakfast, room service, the Italian restaurant the most. Bumble bee was the best drink I had there. Soo good! Oh! And the Mayan coffee at the Mexican restaurant was fun to watch! The only thing not so good was that the jacuzzi tub was in the balcony which we didn't use. Other than that, it's perfect!

Service excellent. Room spotless and cleaned daily. Jacuzzi tub in the room was great. Restaurants- service was stellar, food was very good. Nice selection during buffet hours. Don't fall for their "promotion" or resort credits. Resort credit still charges you 16% service fee, a lot of cases ends up being regular cost. Beware the high pressure sales. Becoming a member isn't worth it.

We have had a couples/adults only all-inclusive resort vacation before, but Sun Palace exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted with employees who were grateful that we came to their resort. Samuel made checking in and out a breeze, Luis made sure we had entertainment during the daily pool activities, and Chocolate' kept us laughing. Every single staff member that we interacted with ended up making us feel like family. My husband lost his wedding ring while playing volleyball and Luis stopped the game, everyone began looking for it, and within 5 minutes the whole resort was made aware that his ring was missing. Although we did not find it we could NOT have asked for a more accommodating staff/resort. We will be back!

Our first time here-its a great resort. Not one of the huge properties further south, but everything Is cozy and convenient. Food is amazing. They also upgraded us to an ocean view room. If I would have known the view was so amazing I would have just booked it. I highly recommend!
