“Uptown is an amazing part of town. The bar tenders were knowledgeable and friendly. They even gave us a free drink ticket when we checked in. The lobby has great music and games. The gym was well stocked. The rooms were exactly what we needed. The thermostat ran a bit cold, but we were able to turn up the heat and it worked out well.”

“My mother and step dad stayed here. They had a blast! It was very very funky. And you know what, I like that! It's like a coffee shop owner met with Tim Burton and said: "What hotel should we make?"
Let's not just focus on the architecture though. They had good community events. A local pub/bar. And they were very welcoming. ZERO disappointment!”

Was very sick when I visited so didn't have a chance to enjoy the downstairs amenities and the uptown location. Overall the hotel and staff are amazing. Bed is very comfortable and the rooms are very cozy. Electric guitar with an amp in all rooms and a white noise maker were cool.
Cons and reason I took 1 star off: no refrigerator in the room (communal one downstairs which is small) and no designated parking. This was really really annoying to deal with. Also neither of these things were told to me prior or on check in. If there was easier parking I'd give 5 stars.

The Moxy was great! We booked a block for our wedding and essentially took over their lobby two nights in a row. Fantastic service and great people. Loved the lobby too! Only negative takeaways we can see is the lack of typical Marriott amenities (bottled water, coffee maker, etc.) and the small room size. Amazing location too.

I had a great experience staying for a week in the Moxy and would definitely stay again. The staff was super nice, the room was clean, the location excellent, and the atmosphere was hip. Even a seasoned guest like me (aka Boomer) enjoyed the "young" vibe of the place.
If traverlers are concerned with a little urban noise, off-site parking, and no closets - there are other places to stay in the city. The hotel's own description and guests' reviews clearly express what the conditions are up-front. There's no misrepresentation.
I especially liked the wall hooks, large shower, and white noise machine. The Moxy rocks.

Fun vibe

Moxy has a newer modern industrial feel. Very small rooms but they work. Very loud - you can hear everything in the hall as if they were in your room. Expensive drinks. And no one showed up for valet...

I wanted to follow up on reviewing the Moxy hotel located in Uptown Minneapolis. About the only real downside of the property is the lack of parking. If there are no spots available in the back, it's...
