Stayed here for a week in October on honeymoon. Staff were great and very attentive. Room was cleaned very well each day. Great choice of food across the various restaurants. The wine was very nice, except in the family bit where they served something very different to the adults only area. Beach was perfect and plenty of space to watch the sunsets. Worth taking a snorkel to see the fish in the corals but we were lucky enough to see some on our last day without one near the shore. We didn't need or want to leave the hotel during our stay. Probably could do with more parasols / covers on the beach as we struggled to find one some days and it's impossible unless you get up at 7am and reserve one with a towel and the heat can be a bit too much if in direct sunlight for more than a few minutes. Lots of sun loungers though. Entertainment was great with some talented singers performing. The rock band on our last night was a bit too loud though. Great hotel to stay in and we'd definitely consider staying there again if we return to DR.

El hotel es espectacular, el año pasado estuvimos en el Dominicus (que comparten terreno) y nos trataron genial. Este año decidimos probar el Royal y la sorpresa ha sido mayúscula, los restaurantes espectaculares y la calidad de todo excelente. Todos los restaurantes y todos los servicios fueron propios de un hotel de 5 estrellas. Hacer una especial mención a la atención de Modesto (camarero), Yudit (recepción de restaurante) y Powell (entretenimiento), por nombrar a algunos de ellos, pero todos se esfuerzan en que la atención y el servicio sean excelentes. Es el segundo de muchos años que nos quedan por volver. Gracias por todo.

Great staff and location. Huge modern rooms with double showers, comfy bed, and balcony. Cool beach and crystal clear water. Many restaurants to choose from (with a reservation at dinner), and the food was very good.Special thanks to our friendly porter Ludy, who was always greeting us with a smile and some kind words each time we met; and to our golf cart driver Juan V. taking us to the beach each morning.** It's kinda hard to find sunshades at the beach unless you place your towels at 7.30 am maximum - we changed rooms because the first one we were given badly smelled of paint.A very pleasant experience overall!

Beautiful hotel with a beautiful beach I just want to specifically mention mayquer who initially greeted us when we arrived at the hotel, he made our stay much better. He was always so friendly and smiley, positive attitude and deserves a raise in my opinion! The rest of the staff do not compare to him, everyone was friendly but he went above and beyond for us and we love him !

Debo decir que la playa es maravillosa y las habitaciones limpias y organizadas, el personal es bastante agradable, es mi 2da vez en el hotel. Los tragos sinceramente son un poco malos, pensé que iban a mejorar pero siguen igual.La comida es la misma todos los días, no es mala pero muy repetitiva,lamentablemente me enferme y estuve 3 días con una gastroenteritis, solo comí en el hotel, debo recalcar que todos los días comí verduras así que supongo que no estaban del todo bien lavadas.La entretencion estuvo bien pero podrían mejorar.la playa 10 de 10.

El lugar es muy bonito,las habitaciones cómodas y el personal,en general,muy amable. La comida del Buffet es buena y variada. Los tragos bastante malos,menos los del bar de la piscina. La playa también es muy bonita y los espacios cómodos,aunque faltan reposeras y sombra (si uno no reserva temprano se queda sin lugar).

Destacó a Juan Carlos que es un genio, tambiénhay una chica que hace las presentaciones en el teatro y anima y otro chico Juan. é um hotel bastante bom para passar ferias com acesso a uma praia incrivel. Samuel da parte da animação é bastante prestavel e simpático. O staff do hotel é bastante simpatico e acessivel. As instalacoes estao bastante cuidadas. Todos os dias se vê staff s cuidar dos jardins. Sendo que estes sao enormes. Os restaurantes sao variados e a comida saborosa.

Excellent service, the landscapes, the tranquility of the place is great. They should work on renewing the design of the bedrooms as they look a little outdated. Also, the food variety was a little deficient in the buffet and they should improve room service food quality and freshness. Something positive is that it's not a huge place that you get lost and have to take trains everywhere you go and this lets you go to the beach by walking without getting lost. A great date to go is in the beginning of December because it's not saturated with people. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

The entertainment team is great. Luigi and Powell are the best. There are plenty of activities everyday on the beach and near the swimming pool. Carlos and Juan at the beach bar are friendly and they offer you great drinks choices. Food is so tasty, it is a buffet, but it’s full of flavours and choices. Rooms are clean and tidy. They brought us gifts. The reception team is knowledgeable and they speak many languages.

Desde o serviço de limpeza e manutenção do quarto, que foi perfeito, até à amabilidade e prontidão em satisfazer os nossos pedidos por parte de quem trabalha no resort 👌🏼 A equipa de animação é muito boa, divertida mas respeitadora de quem não quer participar nas atividades, o que considero importante. Sentimos que foi tudo muito positivo, com a exceção do buffet do resort ao lado (que pertence ao grupo Catalonia é que não é adults only - desta forma nós podemos frequentar os restaurantes desse resort mas os hóspedes que la estão não podem vir ao nosso) não tem um serviço tão satisfatório a nível de pessoal, se compararmos ao Catalonia Royal La Romana.Este resort sendo adults only é, de facto, perfeito para descansar, fazer reset e desfrutar de um ambiente tranquilo. Recomendamos vivamente 😉👍🏼

A Praia do Hotel, é sem dúvida há semelhança do serviço da animação o que mais se destaca no Hotel. Quanto aos quartos, não são maus, embora que o isolamento acustico deixe muito a desejar, assim como a segurança dos mesmos... Quanto ao serviço é o que é nunca podemos experar um serviço 5 estrelas similar a Portugal ou a um navio de cruzeiro por exemplo, mas a comida é razoável e os garçons também.

Las atenciones en este hotel y las facilidades me hicieron sentir muy cómodo. Algo tan sencillo como los saludos cordiales del personal con el que me cruzaba me hacía sentir muy bien. La comida en todos los restaurantes estaba muy buena, aunque puede mejorar las cantidades de los mariscos. Si pudiera, los visitaría más a menudo. Pero lo haré en un futuro no lejano.

Me gustó la estadía, porque es un ambiente muy tranquilo y agradable donde se puede realmente descansar. Los espacios son muy bonitos, mucha comodidad para llegar a las instalaciones del hotel. Los paisajes son bellos! Me encantó la playa. El personal es excelente con sus atenciones.Los restaurantes son muy ricos y muy bien ambientados.

The hotel was very average, but you get what you pay for. Check-In went surprisingly smoothly, and they were able to accommodate our large party last minute. There is no form of transportation within the resort as it is fairly small. The room’s AC was very loud, and our lamp did not work. The rooms were very small considering they slept four. Altogether, we had booked three rooms, and two of them had non-working TVs, and AC. Mosquitoes are all over the place. We found a small worm inside our sheets on the bed. The only reason we stayed here was due to a flight cancellation. Would not stay here for anything longer than two days. The beach was very nice, the pool was average.

Lovely hotel!!! Everything was more than perfect. Been there twice already and I’m still amazed by the decor, attention to detail, delicious and diverse restaurants, the kind and helpful staff and on top of all that, it’s located in the best beach I’ve been to. My vacations were unforgettable. Dreaming of returning soon! PS: The magic show was a very pleasant surprise!! I usually don’t enjoy hotel shows that much, but the ones in this hotel were AMAZING.

We had a great stay at Catalonia Royal La Romana. The staff is phenomenal and friendly. The beach is gorgeous. The food is pretty decent and the rooms are cleaned perfectly every day. We loved the beach party and the animation staff is easily the best part of your whole stay. Special shout out to Carlos and so many others for memorable evenings. Would absolutely come back again.

Hotel com excelentes instalações. A melhor praia de Bayahibe com óptimas condições proporcionadas pelo hotel. Restaurantes com muita qualidade e muito bom serviço. La comida en general es muy buena y la variedad es aceptable. El personal en general es amable, pero se nota que estan improvisando. La mayoría son nuevos. Es mi tercera vez en el hotel y la verdad se nota que por cuestión de la pandemia se sienten presionados y por tal el servicio no es excepcional como es de costumbre.

Agradecer a todo o staff do Catalonia La Romana, pela disponibilidade e atenção que dão aos seus hóspedes. Praias deslumbrantes, variedades de piscinas, restaurantes espectaculares, buffett completo europeu e pequenos almoços maravilhosos! Passeios, descanso, espectáculos água quente e clima espectacular! Acabamos de salir del hotel con mucha pena, ha sido fantástico, quiero hacer mención especial a Juan el maletero, y el chico de recepción que estaba hoy martes 17.08 sobre las 14:00 am que no me acuerdo del nombre, un 10 por su trabajo y dedicación hacia los clientes, nos vamos muy contentos por el trato recibido por parte de todos los empleados. Volveremos, muchas gracias por todo!!

-Bueno:Hotel precioso con playas de ensueño y comida muy buena. -Malo: No hay animación, música muy bajita que ni la oyes y en el chiringuito de la playa igual. Los horarios para las bebidas son de 10 a 00 cosa que me parece muy mal ya que si te levantas temprano y vas a la playa no puedes beber nada hasta las 10 y por la noche solo hasta las 00 en punto. A este hotel le falta vida, para el dineral que vale y ser un solo adultos. En la web pone que hay casino y no lo hay y también el room service 24h que tampoco. Muy decepcionante en cuanto al hotel pero la ubicación es perfecta.

Gran trato de servicio. Las noches se amenizan tomando algo fresco por las noches. Ariel prepara cualquier bebida en el lobby , se ve que es un gran profesional. Y para servir en las mesas Evelin y Jennifer siempre con mucha amabilidad y con simpatía. Para repetir!

Staff super divertido e friendly. Sempre sorridentes e fazem de tudo para te sentires bem. Se não há, eles arranjam. Ao nível da comida podia ter mais variedade de alimentação saudável e durante o dia gostava que houvesse a opção sumo de aipo. Las instalaciones del hotel son bonitas y el personal es amable. La Playa Dominicus que es la que corresponde a este resort es espectacular. Lamentablemente no puedo ponerle mejor puntuación porque tuve varios inconvenientes. La primera noche me salió una cucaracha en la habitación y luego de insistir me movieron de habitación. Otro día no me salía el agua caliente lo reporté, me indicaron que no podían hacer nada y que esto nunca había pasado; sin embargo, al otro día ocurrió lo mismo (mi estancia fue de 4 días y 3 noches). Por otro lado, mi esposo y yo reservamos en el restaurante El Rodeo y no respetaron la hora de reserva, pues nos hicieron esperar fuera del restaurante y la comida no la servían como indicaba en el menú. Por ejemplo, el entrante que pedí eran alitas tipo Buffalo con salsa de queso azul y lo que me sirvieron fue pollo frito con salsa barbacoa. Por último, al llegar al hotel indiqué que acudía por motivo de mi luna de miel y me indicaron que como detalle me llevarían a la habitación un postre llamado Macaron y una cinta de "Recién casados" y esto nunca ocurrió a pesar de recordarles.

Hotel que merece la pena visitar, el solo adultos está muy bien, atrás quedan los hoteles de punta cana con sus grandes buffet y grandes parques, aquí encontrarás un hotel más íntimo, más cercano, pero sin perder esa calidad. Las habitaciones muy bien cuidadas, el buffet muy bien aunque siempre se puede mejorar algo, el personal muy agradable y atento y la playa que tiene el hotel… es una locura!!! Eso si, vete a primera hora para coger un buen puesto en las hamacas porque vuelan!!! Aunque siempre hay hueco para todos!!

Esta vez daré un 4, me habían recomendado éste Hotel y iba con una alta espectativa, pero al llegar todo fue muy mal, no soy de las personas exigente que va a resorts o comercio de osios a exigir, al contrario me gusta ir a disfrutar y si me trataron bien por aquí me van a tener dando mi mejor opinión.Esta que voy a dar es para mejorar, no para condenar. Lo primera mala expresión fue a mi llegada y las de mis invitados, el check-in tardó mucho, sentía al personal desubicado, quizás podía ser que estaban el alta ocupación después de tantas restricción por la pandemia, lo entendí y al colocarnos los brazaletes nos fuimos a almorzar, al regresar aún eran las 4:00 pm y no tenían lista nuestra habitaciones, por fin nos la entregan y al llegar reservamos comfort y nos dieron una Garden View Horrible, aquello fue la experiencia más fea que he tenido, al parecer estaban tan llenos que decidieron habilitar esas habitaciones para poder cumplir, no subiré fotos por que no quiero desacreditar, simplemente dejarles saber que al final de quejarnos en Recepción nos dieron el tipo de habitación que nos tocaba y la pasamos bastante bien.Mis recomendación como Hotelera :- Sé que es un Hotel de playa, la cantidad de personas que se recibe y el calor pueden ser un poco complicado, pero un buen servicio debe prevaler.- Las Habitaciones Garden View no están habilitadas para ser ocupadas, es mejor inventir en renovar en esos baños, lavamanos pisos, lencería, muebles son muy antiguos, hay humedad y gastan más en estar haciendo reparaciones a unas habitaciones que ya no le cabe una reparación más y evitan el disgusto del huésped que viene de su casa a quedarse en una habitación peor que la que vive.- Última recomendación colocar mallas en todas las áreas del Restaurante el Taino , es muy desagradable ver los cuervos entrar a picar la comida de los clientes. Ellos son hermosos pero fuera de área de comida ya que es un tema un poco delicado por protocolos de seguridad de alimentos.Después todo estuvo excelente.

The place is simply amazing. See side is the best we ever experienced in DR. Also Seniorita called Ruth was amazing, she made our stay!!! Carlos and Samuel was always on top of game and give us best time ever!!! When we come back to DR we only will go for Catalonia Royal la Romana 🍾🔥🍸❤️🇩🇴

Excellent! Literally there's nothing to complain about AT ALL!!! From how clean and up-to-date rooms, the swimming pools, the jacuzzi, the restaurants, the amazing customer service, the big and varied activity areas... to the beautiful beaches. I honestly cannot say enough about how completely satisfied my family and I are. Speaking of Dominican republic, this is a magical land, the people of DR are very sweet and willing to gladly help out.

The energy and service here was excellent!! Coca Cola was amazing and definitely knows how to make a guess feel welcomed and at home! Plus, he always had great energy and entertained everyone! I loved the different activities we can go throughout the day. I learned some new dance moves and would definitely come back! 5 out 5 stars!

Had an absolute amazing time. Beautiful staff, amazing food, breakfast, lunch and dinner,beautiful decor, beautiful weather, your own private pool outside your room, Zumba dancing instructors by the pool, amazing violinist performance by the beach and poolside. Yves Junior amazing and helpful funny guy. The couples massage at the spa was A1. Golf carts will pick you up and drive you to your destination at the resort. My lovely Dominican people are the best! I loved my stay and will definitely go back. You won’t regret it!

Had an amazing vacation at this resort!! Everyone I met was super friendly and helpful. The views were stunning!! The beach was gorgeous and the sand and water was super clean and maintained!! I want to give a special shout out to the bellhop they have working there named Fernando!! He is the BEST person the company has at their disposal!! And I mean that to the fullest….our experience there was made even more memorable and enjoyable due to Fernando. When I tell you, he has a sixth sense. He knew the best places to go visit or eat. He knew about all the activities and always showed up at the right time when we needed a ride from one part of the resort to the next!! We never had to wait in line or for something to be sent to our room because Fernando took care of EVERYTHING! His memory was espectacular!! When I say the hotel was nice I mean it but Fernando definitely helped made the experience at Catalonia Royal La Romana the best ever!! Fernando is the perfect example the company has to offer in customer service and will make you feel at home and taken care of!! Definitely recommend and I hope everyone has a chance to meet Fernando and the great experience he has to offer!!

Wow! So excited to come back! Booked this resort for a great rate at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ I enjoyed this hotel and I'm extremely thankful I stayed here much cheaper than what I typically spend. Amazing service. Staff exceeded expectations. Not overly crowded. Clean. Great food and drinks.

It's on the affordable side of things so expect the luxury you're paying for. Had a massage session which was pretty good. The rooms were nice but I had no hot water, don't know if that's how it goes or if it was just me. The buffet is average
