The New York EDITION seamlessly blends the elegant design of Ian Schrager with its Madison Avenue landmark beginnings. Originally constructed in 1909 as Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s headquarters, this clocktower, near Madison Square Park, has been ingeniously reinvented to offer luxury boutique accommodation, a tranquil hotel spa, chic new event spaces and a Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Jason Atherton, all encompassed by 360-degree views of the City. The Clocktower restaurant offers updated classics and contemporary British fare by Michelin starred Chef Jason Atherton. Located on the hotel’s landmarked second floor, The Clocktower includes three uniquely-designed dining rooms, a billiards room, and a bar made entirely of gold leaf. Bespoke cocktails and Magic Owl Easy Blond Ale, brewed exclusively for The New York EDITION, are offered at the Lobby Bar, as is breakfast, lunch and light dinner.

“We had a great experience at the New York EDITION.The lobby bar had excellent cocktails and great bar food.The room was spotless. We used the complementary shoe shining service and they did a great job.It is a very expensive hotel, so be ready for $20+ cocktails and $12 fees for anything delivered to your room. There is a $35 per night destination fee that is returned to you in bar, dry cleaning, and spa credits.We made sure to get a drink at the bar every night, but the discount made it feel more like what we expected to pay given the high price.”

This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be let down.
Stayed here recently and every aspect of the stay was phenomenal. The check in agent and front desk manager were very welcoming and went out of their way to upgrade my room as it was a special weekend. The room we recived was a immaculate flatiron suite. Everything about the stay was perfect, we will be returning the next time we're in the city.”
